Hello! My name is Deanna, and you may call me Dee. I am passionate about supporting meaningful transformation, offering a grounded, compassionate, and non-judgmental space for self-discovery and healing. My approach is rooted in the belief that true growth happens when we engage with both our strengths and our struggles, creating space for lasting change.
As a Registered Therapeutic Counselor, Certified Addiction Counselor, and Certified Child and Youth Counselor, I have over 13 years of experience in addiction recovery and supporting individuals impacted by childhood trauma. Together, we will explore the emotional, physical, creative, and spiritual dimensions of your life to support your healing and growth.
Creativity and nature are central to my own grounding and healing. Whether it’s practicing yoga, playing golf, immersing myself in the outdoors, or simply finding stillness with a good book, I believe that cultivating wonder and creativity helps us reconnect with our truest selves. I bring that same sense of curiosity and reverence for the human experience into my work with clients.
Whether you’re navigating trauma, grief, addiction, or life transitions—or seeking to deepen your relationship with yourself— I’m here to walk alongside you with compassion, empathy, and practical guidance as you move toward healing and fulfillment.
Growing up in a family system shaped by grief, emotional silence, and instability, I learned early to see myself as a burden rather than someone worthy of care and connection. Family messages that discouraged emotional expression taught me to suppress my needs, leading to deep beliefs that I didn’t matter and was unlovable. Experiences of abandonment, loss, and witnessing the pain of others reinforced the idea that asking for help would only make me “too much.” To survive, I became highly adaptable and people-pleasing, sacrificing authenticity in exchange for acceptance and safety in relationships. Over time, coping through emotional withdrawal, unhealthy relationships, and numbing behaviors created a cycle of shame, insecurity, and disconnection from myself and others. My healing journey unlocked the fears that were hidden in my unconscious mind and revealed what I needed to heal. I learned how living from a place of fear and self-protection kept me from fully experiencing love, trust, and connection—especially with the people I cared about most.
Real change happens when we lean into discomfort instead of avoiding it. From this space, it is possible to experience growth, healing, and a deeper connection to SELF and others. I am committed to bring compassion, authenticity, and openness into my work and relationships, using my lived experience to create safe spaces for others to heal and rediscover themselves. I can work with you to navigate through emotional pain, rebuild self-worth, develop healthier relationships, practice self-acceptance, and move beyond patterns that keep you stuck so you can reconnect with your authentic self and create a more meaningful life.
Nature, creativity, spirituality and connection to the Devine continue to be anchors in my life. I draw inspiration from life’s simple wonders and bring that same curiosity and presence into my work with clients. Together, we’ll work to strengthen your inner foundation so you can experience more authentic and fulfilling relationships in your life.
I love the outdoors because that is where I feel most connected to spirit. Dragonfly reminds me we are all connected and being a Leo keeps the fiery energy close.
I am a grandmother to three amazing girls and mother to three amazing children - all of whom are the joy in my heart and the light in my life.
My deep connection to the ocean draws me back to Australia where I walk the shoreline and dance in the waves. The Australian in me loves to be neat the Koala's - my spirit animal - where I can feel their presence the most.
« I will not rescue you, for you are not powerless. I will not fix you, for you are not broken. I will not heal you, for I see you in your wholeness. I will walk with you through the darkness, as you remember the light.»
